Gathering in Wistaston

18th-21st September 2023, twenty three Daughters of Charity in Province Leadership gathered in Wistaston Hall, Crewe to focus their attention on their new Province Plan flowing from the recent worldwide Daughter of Charity Inter Assemblies Document. Each local DC community has between now and 25th January 2024 to make this plan a lived reality at local level. Sr Anne Redmond DC led us through several important sessions focussing in on our Health Care as we begin to age. On Wednesday, our Sisters in Australia, led us in prayer via Zoom and joined us for the Input on “Dementia – its different types and causes” – given by Sr Doreen Cunningham who is the Chief Nursing Officer of the the Nazareth House Sisters Regional Team. Finally, Sr Ellen Flynn, Provincial, gave an overview of the Province today with its joys and challenges. Our time away together also afforded us the “space” to pray together, reflect, socialise and re-charge our batteries.
