School children happy to receive “Miraculous” Medal

On 28th November 2022, Sisters Eileen and Maureen from the Daughter of Charity community living in St Vincent’s Centre in Carlisle Place, joined the children at the nearby St Vincent’s RC Primary School for their school assembly. It was a special assembly during which the children learnt about St Catherine Laboure and how in 1830 Mary, (the Mother of Jesus), had appeared to her when she was a Seminary Sister (novice) in the Mother House of the Daughters of Charity in Paris. Mary asked the young Sr Catherine to have medal struck and since that time millions of people worldwide have worn the medal and prayed for help, support and healing. After the assembly Fr Vincent, from Westminster Cathedral, blessed the medals which were then distributed by the Sisters. See the images below of the distribution and conferring of the medal.
